The WP World Championships are now reset for the Palatorrino stadium in central Rome in late October. Preceeded by the Italian national Championships this event will run over 3 days and feature the world’s best in Powerlifting and Bench Press in Open and all age groups.

AusFitness Expo + World Powerlifting returned to the giant Sydney International Convention Centre for the 2023 Sydney Invitational. Lifters from Nauru, Samoa and Australia set records and bests in front of a standing room only audience. Top lifter was Angin Gadabu from Nauru with 712kg @94kg, while Bob Adam just missed a WR 305kg in the same division. In the womens classes 15 year old Beth Sharples was up against 70 years mature Ann Kohler, a battle of the ages beamed nationally on TV Channel 7. Next stop for these top lifters – the Australian Championships June 3-4 and the Worlds in Italy October.
