By Rail to Amritsar Junction Station or Batala Junction Station.

E-visa for entry to India available for 157 countries, including Armenia, Australia, all of Europe, Nauru, Russia, UAE and more. Go to indianvisaonline.gov.au and apply on-line for e-tourist visa. Fee USD10 or free for some nations. Amritsar is an Authorised Entry Port for e-visa holders

Nations or individuals needing to apply for manual visas should contact [email protected] for a letter of invitation and authorisation, attaching scans of passport and of the Open Powerlifting file for each lifter. Letters will only be provided if each lifter is duly entered and entry fee paid; no refund of entry fees at any time for lifters requiring invitations.

All competitors are free to make their own bookings at any hotel in Amritsar/Batala. If staying in Amritsar secure transport from hotel to venue each day will be provided

However WP has reserved the newly built, secure Ad Palassio Hotel, Shri Hargobindpur Road, Umarpura, Batala Avadi, near to the venue

AD Bouncer Ltd will secure the venue and hotel throughout the event.

Enter Powerlifting, Bench Press, Deadlift separately and you will automatically be entered in both Open plus your age (Youth, Junior, Masters 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64,65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+) according to your date of birth. Medals will be awarded for your placing in Open and your age group.

Coaches, Referees and other officials enter by e-mail to [email protected] citing name, role (Coach, Referee, other) and attaching a scan of passport for each person. Advice of approval or otherwise of personnel will be provided to applicant nations or individuals and no person not registered and approved may act as a Coach, Referee or in any other capacity at the Championships. Registration fees for Coaches, Referees or other officials are USD20 per person

Entry and payment acceptance closes 30 days prior to the Championships i.e. 3 November 2026. No refunds after that date. Enter early to avoid delays with funds transfers and missing the cutoff date.

World 1 and World 2 Referees will officiate throughout the event.

Accredit as a World Referee via seminar and written exam on 3rd December, then practical exam refereeing 100+ attempts on 4th -6th December. Fee USD30 payable as per banking details for entries. Successful candidates receive free tie and will be listed on the WP site worldpowerlifting.com/technical

National team suit + shirt expected for each nation — WP affiliate bodies to lodge their team uniform photos by 21 days out i.e. November 11th and these will be enforced for lifters of that nation

Individual lifters' apparel as per the World Powerlifting Rules Of Competition

Event scoring will run on OpenLifter software open lifter.com via Shivam Computers (Batala)

Final results will be loaded to worldpowerlifting.com/results and Open Powerlifting openpowerlifting.org shortly after the last lift by WP data manager Dibas Regmi.

In-Competition testing will be conducted as per the World Powerlifting WADA compliant Anti-Doping Rules worldpowerlifting.com/anti-doping

All lifters and coaches must complete a WP Anti-Doping Consent Form, distributed via nations and available at weigh-ins

Selection of lifters for testing will be made by World Powerlifting, as per the criteria in Article 4.5 of the 2026 WADA International Standard for Testing and Investigations 

Sample collection will be conducted by an independent WADA recognised agency

Sample transport will be via a medical standard secure courier service

Sample analysis will be conducted at the WADA accredited lab in Qatar

Test results management will be conducted by World Powerlifting as the event Test Authority

Final test outcomes, any sanctions and any amended event results posted asap at worldpowerlifting.com/anti-doping.

Spectators welcome on all days of the Championships.
