It is the responsibility of each competitor and/or their national body to obtain any necessary visa to allow entry into Italy. Many nations can travel visa free to Italy, however a long visa process is required for many other nations. That may involve the provision of various  documents and attendance for interview at your nearest Italian Embassy or consulate.

It is likely that a letter of invitation from World Powerlifting will be required for entrants from some nations. If so, contact [email protected] for this to be provided. You must specify to us who the letter is to be addressed to, whether each lifter and official must be named in the letter and any other details that are required. Be aware that letters lacking any required information will almost certainly result in visa rejection and delay. The visa process can take some months and should be commenced immediately.
